Get Creative Festival 11-18 May

Get Creative Festival - Share your creative talents or come along and try learning something new - 11-18 May Have you got hidden creative talent? Why not volunteer share your skills? We are looking for people who would like to help others try out a new creative activity in a 2 hour drop in session during Get Creative.

Get Creative is a week of cultural and creative activities happening across the UK from 11-18 May. For the second year running, it’s coming to all Slough Libraries – in Britwell, Cippenham, Langley, The Curve, Wexham and Colnbrook!

Last year we had mehndi, embroidery, photography, storytelling, animation and poetry! We have also had suggestions about knitting, chess and family history. Training is available to learn how to run a session and demonstrate to an audience. Please contact if you’d like to get involved.

Pyjamarama 3-8 June

Pyjamarama is Booktrust's celebration of bedtime stories from 3-8 June! Snuggle up for storytime at your local library. As part of BookTrust’s celebration of bedtime stories, we’re inviting you to put on your PJs, bring your blanket, and cosy up on our carpet to share the wonder and magic to be found in books.

Events suitable for little ones aged 5 and under.

All children attending will get a free copy of this year’s mini book, the fabulous Car, Car, Truck, Jeep by Katrina Charman and illustrated by Nick Sharratt.

Chalvey Satellite Library is moving

Chalvey Satellite Library is moving to Chalvey Grove Children's Centre in March - look out for more details soon You may have heard but there are exciting developments happening in Chalvey. The site of the community centre on The Green is about to be rebuilt as an all through school - "The Grove" (currently hosted on Wellington Street at the former TVU site), which will also include a new revamped Community Centre.

While the building work occurs, Chalvey Satellite Library will move across to Chalvey Grove Children's Centre. We are just in the process of moving in and we'll let you know very soon when it will be open for visitors. Ask at your local library for updates.

You can also borrow and return your books at any library in Slough while you wait!
