Amazing authors at The Curve

Meet historical fiction authors Antonia Senior and Liz Fremantle at The Curve Sat 23 Sep 11amJoin popular historical writers, Elizabeth Fremantle and Antonia Senior to discuss their new books 'The Girl in the Glass Tower' and 'The Tyrant's Shadow'. If you're interested in Tudor England as well as following the journeys of interesting characters, this author talk shouldn't be missed!

Animalphabet - A fun musical for children on Sat 30 August - book tickets now!

A brand new children's musical adventure with music and lyrics by Al & Sam of The Hoosiers. Help children learn the musical notes from A for Alligator all the way to G for Giraffe with a cute story for children! The show is fresh from a successful run on the Edinburgh Fringe.

Saturday 30 September

  • 11am - a relaxed performance
  • 2pm - full performance

Tickets: Children £8.50, Adults £9.50, family ticket £35

Book your medal ceremony

Well done to children for some great reading this summer - if you earned at least one certificate, you are eligible to come to a medal ceremony - book at your nearest library or online Well done to everyone who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge.

It's now time for anyone who earned a certificate to book a place at one of our medal ceremonies.

Anyone who comes to one of our medal ceremonies can earn their gold library card by borrowing six more books.

Book online or ask at your local library.

Autumn is coming - new adult learning courses

Adult Learning Autumn brochures If you want to get learning again this autumn, the new Community Learning programme for adults is now available.

You can either browse by topic in the main brochure or find out what's going on at your nearest centre. To get further advice and to sign up to your courses you'll need to attend an enrolment day. There are enrolment days at all the main locations between 4 and 13 September!
